Why now?

As we wrap up the sixth year of continuous operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, the sustainment of substantial troop levels in asymmetric environments continues to claim our warfighters as combat casualties. IDGA’s 8th Battlefield Healthcare will focus on the multiple realities that face combat casualty care today: the continuous training of our caregivers, rehabilitation of those who have sustained life-altering injuries, and the continuum of care after the call of duty.
